"...she [Charlie] is here. I Love her!!! She is soooo sweet and she is already best buddies with another bay yearling that she is turned out with during the day. I did body clip her on Sunday and she was a real jem....didn't move a muscle. She accepted a sheet-blanket at night without any problems as well. This is the sweetest filly ever and I am more than pleased with her. So glad she is here." [Marion purchased Charlie is September of 2006 off a video. She just now got her home and it was the first time she had seen Charlie in person!]

"I was so impressed by your packet of materials and your video. You seem like you are a very organized, professional breeder. I thought the video was awesome, showing her loading, leading, picking up hoofs, fly spray, etc. It's really what a buyer likes to see in a video".

Hi Marianne,
You have been wonderful to work with. It is really great to see that there are still people out there who are trying to keep the all-around in our performance horses. I can't wait to take Simon on the road next year and prove that there are still horses out there that can do it all and do it well.
Just wanted to give you an update on how all is doing. Holly, the filly we fell in love with and purchased from you when she was 3 days old just won Grand Reserve Champion Mare at the Dodge City Horse Show. She received Grand Champion in her age class with 6 fillies in it then went on the compete against the 3 and older mares (20 mares in the class) and came out of it with a Reserve Grand! Won us a belt buckle! We are really glad we have had the chance to do business with your family. Our mare "Shes a Two Eyed Skip" whom we bred to your stallion Gunners Showtime just produced Holly's half brother "Skip a Two Eyed Chance" and he is every bit as classy as Holly. We couldn't be more pleased with the kind and caring way you have handled our filly until she was weaned and our mare while she was there to be bred. Thanks again for everything and again, it has been great getting to know you! You all are great horse people!
Just wanted to let you know that Roo is doing great. She is eating well and seems to adapted just fine to her new home. I have her in a nice stall with a pigmy goat to keep her company and they get along great...When I arrived with her everyone was like omg [oh my gosh] she's so pretty! People asked me if you had another one like her. They said they want to buy a horse from y'all. Let me know if you have any more for sale.
Today, I let Roo out in the arena with some other yearling's and it was so funny because they were all running and Roo was winning. I know she will make a great barrel horse and I couldn't be more happier. I spent all day with her today; I bathed her, groomed her and she just stood there and enjoyed it...she's just a wonderful horse.
Well I just wanted to let you guys know how she is doing and I'll talk to you soon...
Sorry this is so belated, but I just wanted to let you know that the filly made it here fine, and I couldn't be more pleased with her. She was a little nervous Saturday when she first got home, but in the last few days she has calmed down a lot...I am entered at a couple of amateur rodeos and I plan to haul her along for the ride, to show her off.
You were right--she is SASSY, but nothing mean-spirited, just little baby things. And she loves to be handled and played with.
Thanks again very much...and don't worry, she couldn't be more spoiled!
Cowboy is doing great! And growing like a weed. I can't say enough about how happy we are with him. He's going to grow into a beautiful young man. His next show might be an Empire Paint Horse Club sponsored show in Elmira, NY....Cowboy is getting quite good at walking and jogging in hand, even at showing his teeth for the judges. In fact he loves walking around and taking in the sights. He hardly ever gets rattled. What a good boy. At the NY State Horse Breeders Show Memorial Day weekend he was again a fantastic colt to exhibit. Mom loves him and won't let me have any part of his showing. (Except in the scrubbing and prep! haha)

Mary Anne & Jerry-
I just wanted to let you know how much I absolutely love Lizzie. She is one special mare and has a personality that is just as special and loveable. She is always the first one at the gate or if you call her in from the pasture she always comes running in full blast. Lizzie would rather be with me than out in the pasture with the other horses. She is doing great and I look forward to her 2007 foal with Gunner. As well as, breeding to Gunner again down the road. I am sure this will be a great cross! She learns things easily and I look forward to advancing her training. I feel that my experiences dealing with the both of you have been great, both in initially picking my mare up and then getting her bred.
I met Jerry and Mary Anne Sedlacek, first via the internet, then in person. I originally bought a yearling paint mare by the name of Little Miss Splash from a couple in Baldwin, KS. I owned her for about a year and (during this time had started training her) the more time I spent with her the more impressed I was with her mind, her movement, and her temperament. You could do anything with this mare.
I started on a mission to find out more about her bloodlines. I already knew what the Paint Horse Legends book stated about her bloodlines, but I wanted to really talk to the people that owned the horses that “made up” my little paint mare. This is how I came to first meet Mary Anne. I saw an advertisement for her stallion Gunners Showtime. I immediately wrote her and requested information.
It has been from that point on that I immediately felt a connection with the Sedlacek's. They were extremely friendly, and extremely accommodating to all of my questions and then eventually to my going to see their facilities and their stallion. Their knowledge of horses, especially their own, the care they took of all of the horses, and the pride that they take in making sure their facility looks the best at all times, completely won me over.
After I met “Gunner” I was completely sold on him. I was able to see him work in the round pen and it was like watching my paint mare work instead of him. How fluid his movement was and his natural ability to collect was awesome. Then after working him, the Sedlacek's allowed my husband and I to actually walk into the pen and mess with Gunner. How many stallions are you able to do that with! Yet we were able to pick up his feet, feel his legs, pet him, walk around him, etc and he just stood there taking it all in stride.
In fact, I fell in love with Gunner so much and had such a strong connection with my paint mare that we have chosen to breed one of our mares to Gunner. Again, working with the Sedlacek's during this time frame and (us being first time breeders) has been extremely pleasant. They answered all of our questions, they gave us their veterinarian’s information if we wanted to talk to him about anything, and they just were extremely nice and informative. They not only answered our questions about how Gunner handled during the breeding, but also just general questions about what to expect, what to look for in possible changes in my mare, etc. They also kept in constant communication with me while my mare was in their care to make sure that I was up to date on what days she was bred, how the breeding session went, etc.
What also impressed me is that even though we had made a friendship over the past few years, they still held the “quality” standard very high when it came to their breeding operation. They did not want to breed just any mare to Gunner. They wanted to make sure they were always breeding quality to quality. Their responsibility to continue to make the Paint Horse Industry better and better greatly impressed me.
We are now all sharing the anticipation of a February 2007 baby! This whole experience has been wonderful and because of that it has made this an exciting time. I have come to know over these past few years that they are people of their word and they truly care about not only their horses but your horse as well. I would recommend them to anyone. They are outstanding horse people and it has definitely been a pleasure.
